Coronavirus COVID-19 FAQ

Yoga Hero / Coronavirus COVID-19 FAQ

After a long few months of our Yoga Hero studio being closed, we are finally looking to re-open for classes on Saturday 1st August.

This re-opening has one strict highest priority; to be safe, for Yoga Hero reception staff, instructors and customers. This absolute highest priority has been considered at every stage of opening. However, it cannot be denied that yoga has so, so many benefits for body and mind, that we do consider it important to open and to create a space where people can relax, find calm, and make peace.

We are re-opening with complete transparency;  below you’ll find steps that we’ve taken, what we need you heroes to do, and the Risk Assessment undertaken to determine whether, and how, we should re-open the studio.

Important information for our Yoga Hero customers:

  • We have implemented a one-way system through the studio; you’ll enter through reception as normal, and follow the one way system to exit the studio after your class
  • Class numbers will be capped, so we encourage you to book your classes on our Yoga Hero app, or on the Mindbody app. Please note that if you are a member, and you book a class and don’t show up, we will remove your right to booking online classes – this is to keep the availability of mats as fair as possible for everyone
  • A socially distanced queueing system will be in place. Please be prepared to possibly queue outside
  • Please do come in your yoga kit where possible. Changing rooms will be locked, but toilets are available to change in, if needed
  • Please do bring your own yoga equipment, or we have yoga equipment available to rent, if you would prefer
  • Book your classes online, although drop ins are welcome if there’s space available. Yoga Hero will be a cashless studio, and contactless payments are encouraged
  • All contact with surfaces will be minimised; with doors held open where appropriate and possible
  • Cleaning stations will be available where contact with surfaces cannot easily be minimised, such as toilet doors
  • Hand sanitiser will be available, hand washing is available in toilets, and we encourage you to do one or both at regular intervals
  • We will implement a one-way system through the studio, so that there will be no pinch points of people moving in different directions
  • There will be no physical adjustments from instructors, so please do, as ever, listen carefully to instruction
  • We will have a contactless temperature gun to check your temperature on entry
  • We ask you to please, please stay home and practice online or take rest if you have been experiencing any of the following symptoms:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhoea

How it will work:

When you arrive at Yoga Hero for your class, you’ll be asked to check in at the front desk, where our Yoga Hero reception team will be situated behind a screen, and wearing a mask.

Once checked in, you’ll follow, or queue along the one-way system, using the toilet if necessary, and enter Studio 1. You’ll take all your belongings in to the Studio with you, including your shoes, and put them by your mat. You’ll be encouraged to relax on your mat until the class start time, and then enjoy the class! After the class has finished, you’ll take your belongings and equipment and leave via the one-way system which is all clearly signposted. If you’ve rented equipment, you’ll drop that in the washing zone on your way out. If you need to use the toilet, you’ll be welcome to follow the one-way system around again for that.

Any questions?

Please do email hello@yogahero.co.uk and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to the studio!
