Ethical Dilemmas Workshop No. 2:
Responding when mental health issues arise in class
A welcoming, open discussion group for yoga teachers, to discuss ethical dilemmas and challenges.
Facilitated by our yoga teacher and psychotherapist Zoe, we’ll share ideas, experiences and concerns about issues that have arisen, or things that you’re concerned about in relation to students presenting with distress, emotional health challenges or mental health difficulties which emerge in or after class with you. Taking on-board feedback from the last forum, we have increased the length of time for this and future forums.
We wish to invite questions, thoughts, and concerns before the workshop, so if there’s any particular points that you’d like to discuss, please email email@example.com
A handout including useful organisations will be given to you at the end of the workshop, including useful resources, further research and signposting.
The aim is to follow this up with a longer workshop later in the year: ‘Introduction to mental health issues’ which will build on the foundations of this forum.
Open to prospective teacher trainees, current trainees, new and experienced teachers. If you’re none of these, but interested in the topic area please also come along 😊
