Festive De-Stress: A Restorative Workshop

Join us for a festive de-stress with this nourishing and re-balancing restorative yoga workshop.

Do you ever feel run down or burnt out at the end of the festive season? December can be hectic and we often don’t make enough time for proper relaxation, which can leave us feeling exhausted. This workshop is an opportunity for you to take some time out, give yourself permission to truly relax and rest, and to recharge your batteries.

We’ll begin with a gentle, grounding flow, working with the breath to calm the nervous system, gently stretch the body and become present.

We will then move through restorative yoga poses to relax and restore the body, and re-balance the mind and spirit. We’ll use props (bolsters, blankets and eye pillows) to create deliciously comfortable, cosy poses that allow the body to get into a deep state of relaxation.

We will incorporate Yoga Nidra (a relaxing guided meditation) which is a powerful tool for deep relaxation and rest. Nidra means sleep, and the effects of practicing Yoga Nidra can leave the body and mind refreshed.

In the last part of the workshop we’ll work through some gentle movements to re-awaken the senses, and finish with some festive teas and treats.

After this session of deep relaxation, you’ll leave feeling grounded, restored and re-energised for the festive season ahead!
