Hanumanasana: A Four Week Guide to Splits

Ever wanted to move into full splits pose but don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you’re nearly there but you’re not sure where to go next to create more space? Then this course is for you! Hanumanasana is the pose of faith, so take a leap of faith in yourself and believe in your ability to practice splits pose!
Hamstrings need time, and a lot of it to open. Over these four weeks we will flow, use props, explore modifications and assisted stretching to lengthening and strengthen specific areas of the body to develop a mindful and consistent hanumanasana practice. If we try and execute a pose before we’re ready we can cause tension and potentially injure the body, so take these four weeks to open the body gently and with total care.
Each practice will explore with a vinyasa flow to warm up and create space in the body while incorporating splits pose, specific stretches and drills to build openness in the body. We will explore different variations of split including half, full and middle splits with many modifications and variations to offer an all inclusive practice.
Whether you’re a new or experienced yogi, with or without a current splits practice, come along to this course to build a little more faith in yourself!
