ONLINE | Yoga for Men’s Health 


We all know the stats; men’s mental health in the UK is suffering. It could be your friend, brother, boyfriend, son, cousin, colleague… maybe without even knowing it, we’ve all been close to guys who are struggling with their mental health, and all too often they struggle in silence.


Join us in this online workshop, open to absolutely anyone, to explore how Yoga can help. All profits will be going to Movember charity.

Men’s mental health affects everyone, either directly or indirectly, so this workshop is open to everyone as we explore how yoga can help – all while raising funds for a brilliant cause. As yogis, we know the power that Yoga has to affect our mental health, and the whole host of tools that exist in our Yogi toolbox that can affect positive change.

Join Iain to explore techniques for calming and grounding the mind, which you can easily take away with you to practice yourself at home, or pass on to loved ones. We’ll cultivate a safe space for all, open to sharing and discussion throughout, as we move through a gentle flow that settles into a grounding Yin practice. We’ll take the time to learn some techniques for calming the nervous system, which can easily be practised at home, before closing with a calming meditation and some optional journal prompts to help get your thoughts out of your head and onto paper.

About Movember: Movember, the month formerly known as November, is when brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache, and women step up to support them, all to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Perfect for:

*Absolutely anyone! Men and those who are supporting men – all very welcome.


Equipment needed:

*  As an online session you can join from the comfort of your own home, so grab anything you need to make a comfy practice.

*  Props aren’t essential but you may benefit from a brick (or a chunky book), a blanket and something squishy to sit on. There will be some optional journaling so you may also want to grab a pen and paper.

About Iain


I found yoga during my lunch breaks while in a busy office job. I was dealing with what I now know to be chronic stress and anxiety, and all I knew was that during those lunchtime classes my brain was quiet, even if just for 45 minutes. Yoga has been a powerful tool in my own journey with anxiety, and it’s now my absolute privilege to be able to share the healing power of Yoga with others.
