Samavesa yoga immersions are 12 day deepenings of yogic practice and study. Set in the spiritual heart of Bali, this is an extended yoga retreat, a supported self-study, a safe space, a yogic bath, an immersive experience and an invitation to travel further along the path. For yoga students, yoga teachers and anyone interested in self-realisation, this is a 100hr yoga retreat, yoga immersion and yogic steep into ancient philosophy and practice.

Submerge into the endless depths of asana, mantra, meditation, pranayama, nutrition, self-inquiry, philosophy, history, anatomy and yogic lifestyle. Samavesa is an invitation to unfold inside the ancient and transformational teachings of Yoga. Taking your study and knowledge to ever-deeper realms of embodiment and experience.

A yoga immersion that counts towards a yoga Teacher Training but with no pressure to teach. One that’s rich in knowledge but for your own curiosity. That’s packed full of practices to strengthen your energy body, and led by world-class teachers to leave you inspired and informed. Integrating a daily meditation and asana practice so you can go back into the world feeling fully resourced and wide-awake.

For yoga students, this is a way to make yoga more central to your life. To practice for hours a day, really understand the poses, get clear on alignment, cleanse and clarify your body and quench your thirst for more.

For yoga teachers, it will be a time to retreat, refresh and regroup. A knowledge-rich 12 days, the yoga immersion is packed with inspiring ways to enliven your classes, set new boundaries and prioritise your own practice. Through the art of theming and safe sequencing, daily sadhana, intuitive movement and embodiment, classical non-dual Tantrik philosophy, history, functional anatomy, Ayurvedic diet and yogic lifestyle.

 

DAILY YOGA PRACTICE AND STUDY

Each day begins with a morning sadhana, followed by a two hour yoga practice. You’ll have a long brunch and time to rest before we analyse the class, share our approach and give you chance to share your experience. The rest of the day is dedicated to study modules, more rest, asana labs and an evening practice of yin or restorative.

 

MODULES are three-hour study periods where we go deep into philosophy, history, anatomy, Ayurveda, diet, lifestyle, nutrition and self-care. We’ll be supported by our world-class guest teachers, Christopher Wallis and Rachel Ellery, and we’ll also bring in practitioners from Ubud to offer sound healings and workshops.

 

LABS will focus specifically on asana where we’ll break down poses, get clear on alignment, go into safe sequencing, class structure, the art of theming and how to develop and enliven a home practice.

 

FREE TIME comes throughout each day but there will be two days without any study – just morning sadhana, self-practice and evening restorative. On three of the evenings you can choose to join us for excursions to the spa, ecstatic dance and a closing dinner at one of the beautiful vegan restaurants. There is also an optional trip to the water temple on the last day for a final blessing.

 

FOOD in Ubud is an adventure in itself. Breakfast/brunch is included and prepared at the onsite organic café, but feel free to explore when it comes to dinner and make the most of your free days to indulge in all the raw, vegan, veggie and Indonesian cafes and restaurants on offer.
