STUDIO | Free Workshop: Pregnancy yoga and midwife-led insight session

Join Yoga Hero and midwife Georgie for a free pregnancy yoga class and midwife-led insight session.

Pregnancy yoga class

This class is suitable for all second and third trimester pregnancies, no previous yoga experience is needed. We’ll be focusing on finding some space, being able to move a bit easier and breathe that little bit deeper, before enjoying a gorgeous relaxation.

Midwife-led insight session

Georgie has years of midwifery experience, and is looking to focus her experience, in addition to her current delivery suite role, towards supporting women throughout their pregnancies. Her ultimate aim is to guide women towards a birth that they feel empowered to embrace and experience. She would be a point of contact to explore thoughts, feelings and personal experiences that contribute towards your pregnancy journey, in order to find the confidence and self-belief that you can make your own decisions, for you, your baby and your family.

This session is your chance to chat to Georgie about your pregnancy journey, give first hand experience of midwifery care and what you feel you need to guide you towards your birth feeling positive, empowered and strong.

About Hannah

200hr Yoga Teacher Training | Pregnancy Yoga | Postnatal Yoga and Mother and Baby Yoga

“I stumbled across yoga in my early twenties. I’m generally up for anything that involves moving and energising my body and there was something about yoga that I was instinctively drawn to. I love anything outdoors, running, hiking or climbing. My enthusiasm for these hobbies can fluctuate with the seasons, but I’ve found that since I first stepped on the mat ten years ago, my passion for yoga has only grown stronger. It has become a core part of my life.

Whilst I was first attracted to the physical practice, I’ve learnt to appreciate the subtler disciplines of yoga and I want to share these with my students. Listening to the body and practising yoga with self-compassion can have an extremely positive impact on our mental wellbeing. If we learn to bring mind and body into the present or to let go of ego on the mat, we can find it easier to find these states of awareness off the mat too.

My classes are playful and accessible. I aim to create a space where everyone is confident exploring and developing their practice. I believe it’s healthy to challenge our comfort zones, and that this should be fun too! There will always be variations with poses, so you can develop your practise at your own pace.”
