STUDIO | Intro to Mysore – An Ashtanga Self Practice


Join Jess to delve into the Mysore world of Ashtanga self practice!


Self- practice can feel daunting at first, but hold so many incredible benefits. You learn to move more mindfully, connect deeper to your physical body and it’s needs, self regulate in challenging circumstances and begin to sharpen the focus of the mind, so you can truly understand yourself and your thoughts and habits.


Jess will begin with a short discussion around the lineage of Ashtanga self practice and it’s benefits and then we will work together to begin to build your own practice.


Expect to move, breathe and meditate while Jess supports you all individually. Self – practice is the way Ashtanga was intended to be practised, come and feel the benefits yourself.

About Jess


Jess began practising yoga in California, embedding it into her daily life upon realising the many physical and mental benefits. As a musician, Jess found that flowing, especially to music, was a valuable and expressive tool that could alter mood and energy levels, whilst also strengthening and releasing tension from the body.


Now a 200hr registered yoga teacher, Jess’ classes are influenced by Vinyasa and Ashtanga practices while also embedding yin and restorative styles. Jess offers modifications and variations throughout her classes to make them accessible to all, builds awareness of the mind body connection and in turn, enables everyone, to feel the many benefits of a holistic yoga practice.
