STUDIO | Yoga Teacher Training Open Day

20th November 2021 @ 13:30 - 17:30

Teacher Training Ardha Chandrasana Cropped

STUDIO | Yoga Teacher Training Open Day

Have you ever thought about becoming a Yoga Teacher? Yoga Hero’s 200 hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Course is designed for anyone who would like to explore a career in teaching yoga, or would like to deepen their knowledge and practice of yoga.

Becoming a Yoga Teacher, or undertaking a teacher training course to deepen your knowledge, is a huge decision! With that in mind, we’d love to welcome anyone who’s considering a yoga teacher training now, or in the future, to this open day.

We often get asked ‘I can’t do handstand’ or, ‘I can’t do the splits – can I still teach yoga?’ and our view is yes! Absolutely! Whilst it’s important you don’t teach what you don’t know, it’s also important that you’re on your own journey, and you have your own things that you’re working on; mentally and physically; this will help you identify and empathise with your students so much more than if everything just came super easy to you.

We’ll talk about this, and other comments questions and reservations, on this open day.

It’s £5 to attend, with all profits going to Leeds Mind Charity.

Some of our graduates from previous Yoga Hero Teacher Training Courses will also be joining us, and will be happy to answer your questions honestly about their experience during the training, and teaching yoga since the training.

Book your space today, we can’t wait to welcome you!

The Plan:

* Delicious 90 minute Vinyasa Flow class taught by Holly

* Tea, coffee and snacks

* Taster lecture on anatomy, philosophy and asana, to give you a taste of what our teacher training course covers and how it works

* Q & A

Perfect for:

This open day is perfect for anyone thinking about becoming a yoga teacher, now, or in the future!

*  £5, with all profits going to Leeds Mind Charity

About Holly

” I absolutely love yoga; how it’s so accessible and beneficial to everyone from all walks of life. I became a yoga instructor in the hope of inspiring others to practice yoga; to enjoy its many benefits for the body and mind. My style very much focuses on the importance of the breath and on practising good alignment, as I see both as really important factors for a beneficial and enjoyable practice. Lively music forms a large part of my classes; I find it can be motivating as well as bringing some lightness to the classes.

I am qualified to teach Ashtanga, Rocket, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, having studied Ashtanga in our fab home city of Leeds, and Rocket Yoga on the beautiful island of Koh Samui in Thailand, and Vinyasa Flow in Goa, India.

Ultimately, I aim to encourage students to enjoy a decent body workout, whilst improving flexibility and of course, relaxing the mind with a rewarding savasana (relaxation) at the end of each class.”

Holly, along with Angela Jervis-Read, leads Yoga Hero’s 200 hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training Course. Her interest in anatomy borders on the ridiculous, and she is really passionate about yoga instructors having at least a basic understanding of how bodies move, and how joints work, to ensure a safe environment for yoga students.  These workshops provide a safe space to recap on the basics and deepen anatomical knowledge, to make your yoga teaching, and your yoga practice incredibly effective, as well as safe and enjoyable.

About Yoga Hero

Yoga Hero has been established since March 2013. Initially, classes were ‘popping up’ in church halls, arts galleries, cafes, skateparks… you name it! Over time, we eventually found a beautiful home in Leeds Dock.

Yoga Hero has three studios, one with a capacity of up to 80, one with a capacity of 20, and the third is perfect for small private groups or one to one sessions. At Yoga Hero, we offer everything from Introduction to Yoga Courses, Pay As You Feel Classes, up to 200 hour Foundation Teacher Training Qualifications and Further Training, such as Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and much more!

About Leeds Dock

Yoga Hero is based in a beautiful part of Leeds called Leeds Dock. Leeds Dock is a 10 minute walk from Leeds Train Station, or there’s a free water taxi service between the train station and the Dock!

Around Leeds Dock are many affordable hotels, such as:
* Holiday Inn Express (Two minutes’ walk)
* Jury’s Inn (Five minutes’ walk)
* Ibis (Five minutes’ walk)
* Malmaison (Ten minutes’ walk)

There are also many very reasonably priced AirBnBs on the Dock

Leeds is a quite small city with loads going on. The whole city is walk-able by foot, probably 40 minutes’ walk from one end to the other at a steady pace. There’s many independent restaurants and cafes, with our favourite North Star Coffee Shop just two doors down from the studio, serving incredible coffee and food during the day.

If you have any questions about Leeds; what to do, where to stay, or how to get here, just ask the team: hello@yogahero.co.uk// 07743513225.
