From help in sports, relationships, the classroom, and the home, yoga continuously supports growth and development. Aside from the physical benefits of yoga, yoga teaches tweens techniques for coping with the unique issues they’re faced with everyday—insecurity about their changing bodies, the enormous pressure to fit in, stressful schedules, and uncertainty about their beliefs and their futures.
Movement, and therefore yoga, is essential for fast-growing bodies.The practice of yoga offers adolescents a discipline for discovering who they truly are. Beginning that process at a young age can shape who a young person becomes. It’s about nourishing their imagination, asking for their insights, and then genuinely listening to what they have to say.
Parent supervision is not necessary. No yoga experience necessary.
Tweens aged at 8 – 11 years.
* £8 per child

Welcome to send over a little bio to put in the description if you think it works well to see your background etc. for these types of sessions. Let me know if this is ok? Have attached some pics too in case that is helpful? Debs was inspired to train as a yoga instructor so she could teach children and young people – “If only I had known then how simple breathing activities could help calm my mind and balancing as a tree could help focus my mind…..perhaps exams wouldn’t have been so stressful and bullying not been so distressing.”
Debs now teaches all age groups from babies to teens and adults, including children with additional needs. Her classes are influenced by the styles of yoga she has practised over the years and the teachers who have inspired her. “I teach from the heart and with a sense of humour. I believe yoga is creative, fun and educational, suitable for all ages and capabilities. Yoga gives us the understanding and practical applications to be the best people we can be and to live by our values; it is an honour to have this practice in my life.”
Before moving to Leeds last year Debs ran weekly classes for children and young people of all ages in Glasgow as well as workshops, holiday camps and sessions in schools, nurseries and children’s clubs.
