Yoga Nidra – Yoga ‘Sleep’
The Queen of all relaxation techniques, one of the deepest forms of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. It is a state of awareness in which the body can rest deeply and profoundly, whilst the mind is between wakefulness and deep rest.
The practice meets the intuitive needs of the person who practices it – Improving sleep, enhancing creativity, bringing nourishment, insight and healing.
After taking time to get as comfortable as possible, using as many blankets, cushions and bolsters as you need, you’ll be guided through a relaxation practice, expanding your awareness, bringing you back home to your deeper self to feel rested, restored and in your own power afterwards.
All yogis, including beginners.
Clare has been practising yoga since her teens, with it being a constant companion since then. In 2013 she decided to go for it and become a teacher – the best decision she’s ever made! Clare now mentors for Yogacampus (whom she studied with) and teaches Hatha yoga classes and 1-1’s, runs workshops and retreats.
Practicing yoga in India makes her heart sing! After qualifying Clare went on to study 1-1 Yoga Therapy at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, Ashtanga yoga in Mysore and she returns to Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas as often as she can to immerse myself in practice and philosophy. Clare continues to study with her teachers Richard Freeman and Uma Dinsmore Tuli with great respect and gratitude.
