An Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation

Get in touch with your body and breath, through present moment experience. 

Mindfulness is moment to moment awareness, invoked by tuning into your breath and to every other aspect of your life. Mindfulness is developed by purposefully paying attention in a non-judgmental way, to what is going on in your body and mind, and in the world around us.

Staying in touch in this way from one moment to the next, this shift in awareness, may lead to seeing things somewhat differently, perhaps to feeling less stuck, or to a sense of having more options, more strength and more confidence in your possibilities, more wisdom…

In this Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation session, we’ll be accessing mindfulness through movement and meditation practices, working on developing a greater sense of body awareness and offering you the element of choice in life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”mkdf-element-from-bottom”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]This session will be especially useful to those who have been feeling stressed or anxious. About Katy:

Katy Raven is an experienced practitioner. Working within her community as a Mindfulness Trainer and as a Lecturer in Mindfulness at Craven College. She has trained in mindfulness-based pain and stress management through Breathworks and is currently undertaking an MA in Mindfulness Based Approaches.. She trained as a dancer at NSCD and has been awarded funding to develop her Mindful Movement practice.
