Being a yoga teacher is by no means an easy job, but it really can be one of THE most rewarding, warming, amazing jobs out there. Over the last 19 episodes we’ve broken down how to tweak, amend and improve aspects of your yoga teaching, and running your yoga teaching business…. but to celebrate our 20th episode, we wanted to focus on the joys of being a yoga teacher.

This is absolutely a topic that we’ll come back to in the future, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you love about teaching yoga, we’d love to hear from you!

Ok, let’s get going!

  1. Your job is something that you love to do
  2. There’s always more to learn
  3. Movement is integrated in to your life by default
  4. You get to share yoga with people who want it
  5. You get to share yoga with people who don’t know that they want it!
  6. You will undoubtedly improve people’s lives
  7. Be present, aware and conscious is required even in a normal, run of the mill day
  8. Your uniform is super comfy
  9. You help make people’s days better, and often they will tell you that
  10. People will break through barriers that they’ve created for themselves because of your classes
  11. Yoga retreats, immersions and trainings are all going to make you even better at your job
  12. As you deepen your learning, it benefits you as well as your yogis; everyone wins
  13. You create a space for people to put their day on pause
  14. You learn about the power of acceptance
  15. You learn, truly, the power of being present
  16. You can release people from the non-stop chatter running through their heads
  17. Often, your priorities in life change, meaning you’re able to enjoy your life more, rather than needing more
  18. If you’re doubting your ability, you can bet your bottom dollar that something will appear to tell you, you’re on the right path
  19. You create, and you’re part of, a community
  20. It’s something that can be taught, all around the world!

So, you lovely yoga teachers, go ahead and enjoy your day, and never stop being grateful for this incredible opportunity that we’ve been given!
