STUDIO | Hanumanasana: Four weeks to Splits

Ever wanted to move into full splits pose but don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you’re nearly there but you’re not sure where to go next? Then this course is for you!



Hanumanasana is the pose of faith, so take a leap of faith in yourself and believe in your ability to practice splits pose!


Over these four weeks we will flow, use props, explore modifications and assisted stretching to lengthening and strengthen specific areas of the body to develop a mindful and consistent Hanumanasana practice. If we try and execute a pose before we’re ready we can cause tension and potentially injure the body, so take these four weeks to open the body gently and with total care.


Each practice will explore with a Vinyasa flow to warm up and create space in the body while incorporating splits pose, specific stretches and drills to build body awareness. We will explore different variations of splits including half, full and middle splits with many modifications and variations to offer an all-inclusive practice.


Whether you’re a new or experienced yogi, with or without a current splits practice, come along to this course to build a little more faith in yourself!

About Jess


Jess began practising yoga in California, embedding it into her daily life upon realising the many physical and mental benefits. As a musician, Jess found that flowing, especially to music, was a valuable and expressive tool that could alter mood and energy levels, whilst also strengthening and releasing tension from the body.


Now a 200hr registered yoga teacher, Jess’ classes are influenced by Vinyasa and Ashtanga practices while also embedding yin and restorative styles. Jess offers modifications and variations throughout her classes to make them accessible to all, builds awareness of the mind body connection and in turn, enables everyone, to feel the many benefits of a holistic yoga practice.
