Chair yoga is a great practice for everyone, not just seniors and the less able-bodied, but also those who would like to learn different ways to enjoy their yoga practice without a mat: travellers, office workers…and anyone who finds themselves at a desk with 5 minutes to spare.

This in-person course will provide you with new skills and creative ideas to offer to your friends, family or in classes. It will be invaluable for anyone wishing to learn to make yoga accessible for all and how to incorporate different requirements within one group.  We’ll look at sitting in a chair, standing and balancing with the aid of a chair and moving around the chair including:

• structure and planning
• use of props
• working with physical restrictions and limited mobility
• modifications for seniors and less able-bodies
• modifications for those with greater strength and flexibility

It will be an interactive workshop , offering plenty of opportunity for questions, feedback and discussion.
