Chandra Krama – The Moon Sequence Workshop
When practising Ashtanga Yoga or other types of Dynamic Flow Yoga, we tend to feel the physical aspects of our body first, the faster we move; the more gross our awareness.
This type of practice is valuable as it moves energy, builds strength, flexibility and greater ease in the body.
However to balance the demands of Ashtanga Yoga and other physical yoga practices it is important to regularly practise meditation and softer, gentler asana (poses) sequences. The Moon Sequence provides exactly this. It is equally important for men and women and helps to rebalance your energy, mind, emotions and body.
The Moon Sequence is a set sequence of postures that you practice at a slower pace to cultivate a more subtle awareness. This sequence emphasises flexibility around the upper back, shoulders and hips.
Kirsten will teach the session in the spirit she was taught it by Matthew Sweeney (the creator of Chandra Krama).
